Take 5 with “White Gold”

We’ve asked the filmmakers for the 11th annual Oxford Film Festival the same five questions. Meet Jason Thornton, producer and artist of White Gold. This film will be screening at 2 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 7 and Sunday, FEb. 9.

#1: In 140 characters or less, describe your movie and why someone should see it.

This music video shows the day in the life of a man who’s life is centered around three things - Selling White Gold jewelry, looking fly and kicking ass.

#2: Biggest lesson learned in getting the film made? Best part in getting the film made?

The need for better equipment.
It was a blast to make.

#3: Tell us about you. What is your movie making background?

Won the audience choice award at the 2013 Oxford Film Festival for the music video: “Mother never held me.”

#4 What do you want the Oxford Film Festival audience to know about your film that isn’t obvious from its title or description?

We took a “B” movie approach to make a funny video for everyone to enjoy. So awful, it’s great.

#5: What does the future hold in store for your film and for you?

Hopefully, to continue making music and music videos.
